Our Story
Located on the fringes of a flora-fauna enriched forest belt, Maldare is a sleepy little village settlement with a close-knit populace. Having a childhood fascination with the fictional town of Malgudi from R.K. Narayan's novels, we started Maldare Days with a desire to provide seekers a comfortable, homely, hospitable and affordable stay nestled in the midst of nature.
Surrounded by coffee plantation and an abundance of greenery, Maldare Days offers you an authentic experience of village life. You can spend time with the gentle cows being cared for in our gaushala, feed the fish in our koi pond, watch the Moscovian ducks splash in the water, walk through the estate or go for an evening stroll by the forest. You can also hear the high-shrill call of the peacock, the buzz of the bees returning home to their hives after a busy day of work, and if really really lucky, the distant trumpet of an Elephant deep in the night.

Maldare is conveniently located close to major tourist hotspots and easy to reach from all the major cities. It is just a 25-minute drive from Periyapattana, a small diversion from the Mysore-Kushalnagar-Madikeri national highway.

Estate Walk
Take a walk through the serene plantation. For the brave hearted, you can take a walk along the perimeters of the forest!
Tending to the cows
We run a Gaushala with more than 30 cows being cared for! Come and spend time with these gentle bovines. They love bananas by the way.
Feeding the fish
Sit by our Pushkarni and watch the Koi fish feed on some nibbles
